How to Prepare for TET Exam 2022?

TET exam 2022 is held to verify candidates' eligibility for employment as teachers in both federal and state government institutions. State governments or authorities administer the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is a test used to assess whether or not candidates are qualified to teach in any of the institutions. The TET exams are held at both the national and state levels and are based on the National Council for Teacher Education's recommendations (NCTE). The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) administers the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) at the national level, and various states administer TETs such as UPTET, PSTET, HTET, MAHA TET, OTET, HP TET, KTET, and others at the state level.

What is the procedure for applying for the TET Exam 2022?

Candidates must apply for the TET exam either online or offline by filling out an application form. Only those candidates who successfully complete the application form are eligible to take the TET tests. Candidates must pay the application cost to submit the online form. The CBSE releases the CTET application form, whereas the state governments or exam conducting authorities release the TET application form.


TET Exam 2022 Documents Required to apply for the TET exam:

  • Certificate of completion for class 12
  • B.Ed. passing certificate or a diploma in education
  • Proof of a valid photo ID
  • Photograph of passport size
  • If applicable, a certificate of category or caste
  • a disability certificate, if any


Eligibility criteria for TET 2022: Candidates must meet the required eligibility standards, which include educational qualification and age limit, to take the TET 2022. The eligibility criteria for the TET vary per state. The basic conditions that candidates must meet to appear for a TET remain the same. 

The following are the essential eligibility requirements:

  • Candidates must have completed class 12 or be a graduate of a recognized university with a minimum grade point average of 45 percent.
  • Candidates must hold a diploma in education or a bachelor's degree in education (B.Ed) or have completed any other required teacher training program.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • For CTET and other TET tests, there is no maximum age limit.
